Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue: A Plane Full of Secrets
Anthony Horowitz, the mastermind behind gripping series like *Foyle’s War* and *Magpie Murders*, is back with another chilling mystery. This time, he takes us to a plane crash in the Mexican jungle in Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue.
Horowitz, known for his intricate plots and unexpected twists, throws ten passengers into a terrifying scenario: after crashing in a remote area, nine of them survive, only to start dying off mysteriously. The survivors are quickly forced to confront their darkest secrets as they realize one of them is a cold-blooded killer.
The six-part series unfolds through flashbacks, revealing the backstory of each passenger and building tension until the identity of the murderer is finally unmasked.
Horowitz reveals his inspiration for the story: «I often thought that an airplane is a very interesting environment for a murder mystery…you could well find yourself next to a complete stranger for five, ten or fifteen hours.»
The cast boasts a talented ensemble including Eric McCormack, David Ajala, Lydia Wilson, Jan Le, Adam Long, Siobhán McSweeney, Peter Gadiot, and Ólafur Dario Ólafsson. Each character has a story to tell and secrets to hide, adding layers of complexity to the already suspenseful narrative.
Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue promises to be another captivating addition to Horowitz’s repertoire, leaving viewers guessing until the very end. Don’t miss the premiere on Saturday, September 27th at 9:25 pm on BBC1.
